Our Client is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Supply Chain to lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the efficient sourcing, production, and distribution of products while maintaining the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, expertise in supply chain management, and a proven track record of success in a fast-paced, regulated environment. This will be a HYBRID role in Rockville, MD

Responsibilities

• Strategic Supply Chain Leadership:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with business goals.
• Oversee sourcing, procurement, manufacturing, inventory management, and distribution activities. Vendor and Partner Management:
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and logistics providers.
• Negotiate contracts and ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality and compliance standards. Operational Excellence:
• Optimize supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.
• Implement best practices and leverage technology for data-driven decision-making. Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure all supply chain activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements, including GMP, FDA, and other relevant guidelines.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain product integrity and safety throughout the supply chain. Demand Planning and Inventory Management:
• Lead demand forecasting and inventory optimization to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock.
• Monitor and analyze supply chain metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Desired Skills And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management.
• Experience handling "cold-chain"
• Experience working with B2C product lines
• Experience handling large volume of shipments
• In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, including sourcing, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and inventory management.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools
