Job Description

At Freedom Recovery, we are committed to providing compassionate care for individuals facing Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and behavioral health challenges. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals facing various substance use disorders and behavioral challenges, providing support and implementing behavior management strategies. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for clients by utilizing evidence-based techniques and fostering a supportive environment.

As an LCSW at Freedom Recovery, you will provide direct clinical services to clients through individual, group, and family therapy. You’ll collaborate with our treatment team to develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address the emotional well-being of our clients and support their long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based treatment modalities designed to promote recovery and long-term success.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team, ensuring that each client’s needs are met.
  • Complete clinical documentation (progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries) accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments , including biopsychosocial evaluations, risk assessments, and diagnostic formulations, to understand each client’s unique challenges and needs.
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk management services , including safety planning and de-escalation when necessary.
  • Collaborate with other behavioral health professionals to ensure integrated and effective patient care.
  • Engage patients and families in treatment planning and provide psychoeducation on mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Ensure compliance with all facility policies, accreditation standards, and legal/ethical guidelines, including HIPAA and confidentiality regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of and adhere to workplace violence prevention and drug-free workplace policies.
  • Participate in clinical supervision , staff meetings, and ongoing training to enhance professional development and stay current with best practices.
  • Assist with discharge planning , including referrals to aftercare services and coordinating connections with community resources for long-term success.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and assist with program development to enhance the effectiveness of our services.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by clinical leadership to support patient care and facility operations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) certification (Required) with a strong background in treating Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and behavioral health challenges.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based treatment approaches and a commitment to providing client-centered care.
  • Experience in individual, group, and family therapy, with a proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and execute individualized treatment plans.
  • Strong communication skills, both in therapy and in professional documentation, with a commitment to accurate and timely records.
  • Ability to manage crisis situations and provide de-escalation and risk management services with professionalism and compassion.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development through clinical supervision, training, and staying current on industry best practices.
