Job Summary
As a Psychotherapist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the mental health and well-being of our patients. Your expertise in providing therapeutic services, alongside essential administrative responsibilities, will enhance patient care, improve satisfaction, and contribute to the clinic's reputation as a trusted healthcare provider.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, using a variety of methods including interviews with patients, their families, and others involved in their care.
Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each patient, addressing emotional, social, cognitive, developmental, or behavioral challenges.
Collaborate with our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, when necessary, to provide consultations for medication management.
Provide crisis intervention support to ensure the safety and well-being of patients in urgent situations.
Accurately maintain clinical records, documenting treatment provided, and medication administered.
Stay up-to-date with developments in the mental health field by engaging in continuous learning activities such as reading professional publications, attending conferences, and connecting with colleagues.
Adhere to ethical and legal policies, procedures, and standards in all aspects of your work.
Provide both virtual and in-office visits, as needed, to meet the needs of patients.
Skills and Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in a mental health-related field (such as social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or mental health counseling).
Completed all necessary training for state registration, including BLS, ACLS, and Infection Control Training.
Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance with at least 1 year of experience working as a licensed therapist.
Preferably licensed in the state (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMHC) to provide counseling services.
Additional certifications such as ABA, DBT, CBT, and EMDR are desirable, but not required.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred, and bilingual (Spanish and English) skills are a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team, fostering positive communication and respectful interactions.
