Job Description:
Axiom Group LLC seeks Senior Data Engineers (multiple positions) in Oak Brook, Il. Design, Develop and maintain optimal data pipeline to assemble large & complex data sets that meets analytics and business requirements for various Lines of Business. Conduct data analysis, data mining, read and create formal statistical documentation, reports and work with Technology to address issues. Analyze and interpret data reports, make recommendations addressing business needs. Identify, design, and implement engineering process improvements through automating manual processes, optimizing data pipelines, re-designing services for greater scalability. Design data engineering solutions and platforms. Implement ETL architecture; data profiling, process flow, metric logging, and error handling. Lead and foster junior data engineers in their careers to produce higher quality solutions at a faster velocity through optimization training and code review. Work with analytic teams to support their data and technology needs. Write macros which can be used as reusable components to reduce time. Apply quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods including SAS programming, Structured Query Language (SQL) to extract, transform and analyze data. Operationalize and automate the data pipelines on Cloud environments. Technologies might include: SAS(Statistical Analysis System); Informatica; Structured Query Language (SQL); Hadoop MapReduce; Hive; Spark; Python; Pyspark;Azure, AWS, GCP cloud . Relational Database Management System (RDBMS); NoSQL; Perl; Python; Bash; Teradata; Oracle; Oracle databases; IBM InfoSphere DataStage; Ab Initio; Talend; PowerBI, Tableau, MicroStrategy; Cognos; Control-M Scheduler; Tivoli Workload Scheduler(TWS), Autosys, Airflow, HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM); HP Quality Center/QuickTest Professional (QC/QTP); Selenium; HTML; XML; UML; R; UNIX; Windows; Microsoft Business Intelligence (MSBI); SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS); SQL Server Report Services (SSRS); SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS); and / or defect tracking software. Travel / relocate to various unanticipated locations in the United States to interact with clients and train end users for different short and long-term assignments. Medical and Dental offered.
Salary : $148K- $150K/year.
Education and Experience Requirements:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Computer / Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field and 5 years of work experience in data engineering or related.
Special Skills or Other Requirements:
Must have 3 years of work experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) development; Relational Databases such as Oracle; Statistical Analysis System (SAS) programming; and Structured Query Language (SQL).
