Software Development Intern (Python- Backend developer, LLM Integration)

We are seeking Computer Science software Development intern (in their 3rd or 4th year undergraduate study or 1st/2nd year of their master's study) with a background in Computer Science (preferably LLMs area) and Software Engineering to join the custom GPT project for an AI-powered assistant. This is a hands-on, full-cycle development opportunity where interns will work on a meaningful and impactful AI product.

Duration: 8 Weeks Location: Remote or [Insert Office Location] Start Date: July 1st

Compensation: unpaid

Responsibilities:

• Integrate with OpenAI GPT and LangChain for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Work with vector databases like FAISS or Pinecone to store and retrieve grant embeddings.
• Build grant recommendation pipelines based on user input and stored profiles.
• Collaborate on embedding pipelines and document processing using PyMuPDF, Apache Tika.
• Develop and maintain backend APIs using FastAPI or Flask. Preferred Skills:
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with REST APIs and cloud-based backends.
• Familiarity with GPT-3.5/4, LangChain, and prompt engineering.
• Exposure to semantic search or NLP tools is a plus.
