Qualifications & Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

Master's Degree in Communication Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology

Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) from ASHA

Valid Virginia SLP License issued by the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology

Active Virginia Department of Education Endorsement (if required by the district)

Compliance with state and federal special education laws

Ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting as required by Virginia law

Responsibilities:

As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will:

Conduct evaluations and provide speech and language therapy to students

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student success

Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress

Participate in IEP meetings and recommend effective intervention strategies
