Job Description



Sika is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to join it's growing team based in Madison Heights Michigan.

The Supply Chain Specialist at Sika will play a key role in: planning to manage forecasting and inventory planning for a diverse product portfolio. This role will have a primary focus on imported products, requiring strong coordination with international suppliers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal stock levels and seamless supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, and business insights.
  • Analyze demand patterns and adjust forecasts to align with market conditions, promotional activities, and seasonality.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to refine demand projections.
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels by balancing demand with supply constraints, lead times, and warehouse capacity.
  • Monitor stock levels, identify potential shortages or overages, and take proactive steps to mitigate risks.
  • Work closely with procurement and logistics teams to manage imported goods, ensuring timely replenishment.
  • Manage relationships with global suppliers to ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely deliveries.
  • Track and optimize international shipping schedules, customs clearance, and transit times to prevent supply chain disruptions.
  • Work with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure smooth import processes and compliance with regulations.
  • Analyze key supply chain metrics (e.g., forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, lead times) and recommend improvements.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to track demand trends, inventory performance, and supplier reliability.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Supply Chain Management or similar field is preferred
  • Experience in Supply Chain Management
