Job Description

Join Our Team of Compassionate Caregivers & CNAs About The Next Chapter Senior Care Solutions: We are a local, family-owned business dedicated to providing high-quality, non-medical care that makes a significant difference in the lives of our clients. We invest in our caregivers by offering essential resources, unwavering support, and opportunities for professional growth. At The Next Chapter, we value respect, trust, and community impact—and we invite you to be part of our mission-driven team. Client Assignment at a Glance: We are currently hiring for an assignment in Maricopa supporting a female client on hospice care. Due to the intimate nature of care, the family has expressed a preference for a female caregiver. The client is currently ambulatory with a walker but is considered high fall risk and requires supervision for safety. She needs minimal assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) at this time, but her needs are expected to increase over time. We are seeking a caregiver with experience supporting clients on hospice and those who may become bedbound. This role includes non-medical caregiving tasks such as personal care, mobility assistance, fall prevention, light housekeeping, companionship, and ensuring the client’s comfort and dignity throughout her care journey. Client Requested Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM. Responsibilities:

  • Daily Living Support: Assist clients with essential activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and mobility support.
  • Specialized Hospice & High-Acuity Care: Provide calm, compassionate care for clients receiving hospice services, with a focus on comfort, dignity, and emotional support. Duties may include gentle repositioning, monitoring for changes, supporting family members, and following guidance from our care team to ensure the client’s needs are met with sensitivity and respect during this stage of life.
  • Companionship & Engagement: Offer companionship, facilitate social interactions, and provide mental stimulation to improve clients' overall well-being.
  • Housekeeping & Meal Preparation: Perform light housekeeping tasks and prepare meals to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Medication & Routine Assistance: Provide medication reminders, support daily routines, and monitor any changes in clients' conditions.
  • Errands & Transportation: Assist with transportation, run errands, and support clients in maintaining their independence and active lifestyle.
  • Safety & Supervision: Ensure client safety by adhering to individualized care plans and providing personalized supervision tailored to each client’s needs.
Requirements:
  • Screening: Successful completion of a thorough criminal background check, drug screening, DMV record check, and a negative TB test prior to employment. A fingerprint clearance card is highly preferred.
  • Certifications: Must possess valid First Aid and CPR certifications. Completion of a formal CNA program or Caregiving Certification is highly preferred (and required before beginning client assignments). Formal dementia training and/or certification highly preferred.
  • References: Provide at least two positive references from past employment that demonstrate your professionalism and commitment.
  • Hospice Experience: Previous experience caregiving for individuals with hospice is highly preferred, preferably in the home care setting.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive Pay: Earn between $18 and $22 per hour, based on experience.
  • W2 Employment: Enjoy the benefits of W2 employment status, including tax benefits and eligibility for applicable protections and overtime.
  • Paid Travel Time: Receive paid travel time between consecutive client assignments at Arizona’s minimum wage rate.
  • Incentives & Differentials: Benefit from quarterly attendance incentives and shift differentials for select shifts.
  • Career Advancement: Take advantage of plentiful opportunities to advance into leadership roles as our business continues to grow.
How to Apply: If you are a caring professional with a passion for enhancing the lives of others—whether through specialized high-acuity care for clients with advanced needs, including hospice, dementia or Alzheimer’s, or by providing compassionate companionship—we encourage you to apply and join our close-knit team at The Next Chapter Senior Care Solutions. Become part of a company that values your growth and is committed to making every chapter of life meaningful and fulfilling.
